Flower Bar by Nathalee Paolinelli

For me, the flower bar is about creating a visual and sensory experience within a space: a place where flowers and people come together, and where the arrangements quietly come to life in the midst of it all.

Arranging flowers has always felt natural to me, and it's a big part of why I started making ceramics.

I wanted to create vessels that felt intentional and special enough to hold the beauty I was arranging.

Forms like my coral crown vessels made to hold single stems.

The flower bar brings those two sides of my practice together, so the vessel and the arrangement are experienced as one.

It's also about connection. So much of making happens alone in the studio, and the flower bar opens that process up.

Guests can watch the arrangements take shape, ask questions, join in and feel the rhythm of the work.

I've seen through years of teaching ceramics how much people light up when they're close to the act of making, and I think that shared experience of slowing down and noticing beauty together is something communities need more of.

Within a space, the flower bar functions as a living installation: a calm, visually rich focal point where compositions of flowers and vessels change over the course of an event, shaping its mood and inviting people to gather.

I invite you to collaborate with me to create a flower bar in your space. Please contact me if you would like more details.
