General Care

- Hand Wash Only: All ceramics should be hand washed with gentle care to avoid potential damage. While the artist does occasionally use the dishwasher, the heat and pressure can harm the finish. For the longevity of your ceramics, we appreciate your commitment to hand washing.

- Use Mild Soap: When cleaning, use a mild, non-abrasive dish soap with warm water.

- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Stay away from bleach or strong detergents which can damage the glaze.

 

Cleaning Vases

1. Preparation: Fill a basin with warm water and a few drops of mild soap.

2. Soaking: Place the vase in the soapy water for a few minutes to loosen any residue.

3. Gentle Wipes: Use a soft cloth, sponge, or a white eraser for cleaning stubborn spots. A white eraser can effectively remove marks without scratching the surface.

4. Rinsing: Rinse thoroughly under cool running water to remove any soap residue.

5. Drying: Allow the vase to air dry completely before placing it back on display. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent color fading.

 

Using Metallic Cleaning Beads

If your vase has hard-to-remove stains, consider using metallic cleaning beads:

1. Add Beads: Place a small handful of metallic cleaning beads inside the vase along with warm soapy water.

2. Swirl Gently: Carefully swirl the beads around the interior to gently scrub away stains.

3. Rinse and Dry: After cleaning, rinse well and air dry.

Final Tips

- Storage: Store your ceramics in a safe, dry place where they won’t be knocked over.

- Avoid Temperature Shock: Do not expose ceramics to extreme temperature changes, which can cause cracking.
